Representative Director of the Institute of Trauma Recovery. Doctor of Health Science. For about 15 years, I have been providing support and conducting research on victims of gender-based violence, including domestic violence, child abuse, and sexual violence. Since 2016, I have been devoted to research on trauma recovery as a director of the Multicultural Study of Trauma Recovery consortium (MiStory), a trauma recovery research team of 13 countries. Dr. Laura Sinko, a director of Our Wave, has been working with us on trauma recovery research for nine years, during which I learned about Our Wave and was so impressed by its activities that I decided to launch Our Wave Japan.
