Our Wave 2024 team meeting

Why Our Wave?

Our Wave's name is a metaphor for the healing community we strive to create for survivors of sexual harm. Just as a single drop of water can create ripples that expand far beyond their origin. We believe that every survivor's story has the power to make waves of positive impact.

When survivors share their experiences and connect with others who can relate, it creates a ripple of validation and support. As more survivors find their voice to speak their truths, these ripples grow into waves of change, breaking the silence and stigma that too often isolate survivors.

Our Mission

We build online healing spaces for survivors of sexual harm.

Our Wave aims to serve as a safe harbor where survivors can anchor themselves in understanding and compassion, sheltered from judgment or blame.  We rise together, buoyed by the knowledge that our stories matter and that we are not alone in our journeys. The energy of our collective wave has the strength to reach even the darkest depths, offering light and hope to those still finding their way to shore.

Like the ebb and flow of the tide, healing is not a linear process. Our Wave honors each survivor's unique path, knowing that progress can come in surges and that setbacks do not negate how far one has come. We are a community where it is safe to be vulnerable, to rest when needed, and to celebrate each small victory along the way. Thank you for being here.
