Jay is a Certified Peer Specialist and Workforce Development Coordinator for a family advocacy non-profit in New York State. Jay was born and raised on Long Island, New York. He received a Master's Degree in Social and Public Policy from Empire State University in 2023 and became a full-time advocate for people in the Mental Health system. Jay is dedicated to furthering the mission of the peer movement and advocating for inclusive, trauma-informed peer support in mental health settings across the state. Jay has lent his peer-based talents to projects such as being a Proxy Caller for Autistic Self-Advocacy Network, writing curated articles for Peer Technical Assistance Center, and providing Peer Companionship at a Peer-to-Peer respite program.
